Broadstep Academy is an NJDOE approved private school serving students and families seeking alternative methods and treatment in meeting the needs of students with autism, behavioral challenges, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Our dedicated and engaged staff delivers a strength-based educational model, in comfortable learning environments, with relevant, interactive experiences. Our program goal is to maximize each student’s desired outcome for life by achieving higher levels of success at school, home, and in the community.
Our teaching community utilizes curricula that is aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Instructional activities are derived from each student’s IEP while incorporating personal strengths, talents, and interests. Caring and innovative special educators and therapists collaborate to develop integrated and comprehensive learning experiences to allow generalization across various settings and situations.
